Wardensville Garden Market (3 miles)

The Wardensville Garden Market + Bakery is a nonprofit farm that employs local youth, encouraging their entrepreneurial spirit through small-scale sustainable farming in an education-rich environment. They also make from scratch baked goods that will satisfy and delight!
Lost River Trading Post (3.4 miles)

In addition to having the largest craft beer selection in Hardy County, the Lost River Trading Post offers locally roasted espresso, made-from-scratch baked goods, local foods and organic items and locally-crafted and American made antiques, art, and crafts.
Warden Lake (6 Miles)
Warden Lake Capon, WV 26851
Warden Lake provides a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and northern pike. Trout are also stocked once in February and bi-weekly March through May. Several nice largemouth bass and channel catfish are also taken annually. Trolling with shallow and medium running plugs has proven very effective for bass and pike. Bottom fishing, especially in the old stream channel, with chicken liver produces large catfish.
Capon SPRINGS and FARM (7 Miles)

Capon Springs is a true old fashioned seasonal getaway. Established originally as a 19th century resort, it is now third generation family-owned and operated. Explore 4,700 acres of breathtaking scenery, feast on their farm fresh eggs and delicious baked goods prepared daily; or rejuvenate with our healing spring water throughout the resort. Activities include golf, tennis, spa treatment, and other seasonal activities.
Eagle Rock Hike (10 Miles)
Dry Gap Back Creek, VA 22654
Eagle Rock offers some of the best vistas in the Great North Mountain Range. A very manageable 2.1 mile out and back from Dry Gap VA609, Eagle Rock is a great family hiking option. The Eagle Rock Trail and overlook have never received the high traffic found on similar hikes such as Big Schloss just to the south.
Trout Pond Recreation Area (16.5 miles)

Trout Pond Recreation Area boasts two beautiful lakes: Rock Cliff Lake and Trout Pond. Relax on a sandy mountain beach or fish for stocked trout while kids splash in the cool waters of Rock Cliff Lake. Trout Pond, home to native Brook trout, is the only natural lake in West Virginia. A designated swimming area, easy lakeside trails, and a children’s playground make this a perfect family destination.
Big Schloss (17 miles)
Wolf Gap Recreation Area, Wardensville, WV 26851
One of the area’s premiere hiking destinations boasting 270 degree vistas, hikers may ascend from Wolf Gap via the Mill Mountain trail, or a circuit hike coming from FDR Rt. 92. It features a rocky outcropping of white sandstone with expansive views into Trout Run Valley in West Virginia and Little Schloss Mountain in Virginia. A bridge provides access to the Big Schloss rock outcropping.
Lost River State park (30 miles)

Located in the wooded mountains of Hardy County in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, Lost River State Park provides cabin lodging and an abundance of outdoor recreation. The park’s quiet 3,712 acres of woods provides a secluded getaway for nature lovers. Lost River is known for its Cranny Crow overlook on top of Big Ridge Mountain, which offers a commanding view of five counties. Activities include biking, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, swimming, and more.
